AirDesign SuSi XPed Hike & Fly Mini Wing
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
SuSi XPed – #lightgearjunkie
Ready to explore
The SuSi XPed takes the SuSi concept further toward expedition, run-and-fly and minimalist hike-and-fly use. It is lighter and faster than the SuSi 4, with an XPed construction focused on reducing carried weight and packed volume while retaining certified sizes across the range.
Cloudbase perspective
The important distinction is that SuSi XPed does not replace SuSi 4. The SuSi 4 remains the broader all-round choice and includes configurations suitable for less experienced pilots; the XPed is aimed more directly at experienced pilots for whom minimum weight, compact packing and faster flying characteristics materially matter. Size selection is critical because loading strongly affects speed and behaviour.

Technical specifications
The SuSi XPed is produced in sizes 13, 16, 18 and 21, with a flat aspect ratio of 4.86 and projected aspect ratio of 3.69. AirDesign’s current published range starts at approximately 1.75 kg, depending on size and configuration. Certification varies by size/loading, spanning EN-B, EN-C and EN-D configurations.
Because the relationship between size, all-up weight, certification and trim speed is central to this wing, contact Cloudbase with your actual take-off weight and intended use before choosing a size.
