Oslob.
Done properly.
A small-group flying and pilot-development experience based at OCPD on the southern coast of Cebu — built around repetition, coaching, local knowledge and making the most of every flyable day.
One home in Oslob.
Choose your
week in Oslob
Each Oslob tour is a complete seven-day flying experience. Join us for a single period, or combine consecutive weeks if you want more airtime, more repetition and more opportunity to build on what you learn.
Come home a
better pilot
Oslob gives us something valuable: time. Time to settle into a site, fly repeatedly, identify the things you want to improve and put coaching straight back into your next flight. Rather than chasing destinations, we use the week to build familiarity, consistency and better habits.
Your flying shapes the week
Every pilot arrives with different experience and different goals. Coaching is shaped around you, the conditions and the opportunities Oslob gives us during the week. Some pilots want better launches and landings. Others want to sharpen soaring, judgement, confidence or simply become more consistent.
Advanced launches
Refine launch technique and wing control, including Cobra-style launches where appropriate to the pilot and conditions.
Precision top landings
Build repeatable approaches, accuracy and judgement through repetition, coaching and radio guidance.
Ground handling
Make your handling cleaner, more efficient and more instinctive — because what happens on the ground carries directly into the air.
Advanced soaring
Use repeated flying at Oslob to develop positioning, efficiency, awareness and better decisions in a coastal soaring environment.
Weather + flight planning
Develop a better understanding of the local weather, daily conditions and how those observations translate into smarter flying decisions.
Confidence + decisions
Turn repeated exposure into better judgement. Build confidence through experience rather than simply pushing harder.
Rating progression may be assessed where appropriate. Progressions and endorsements depend on demonstrated competence, consistency and sound decision-making. They are earned rather than guaranteed and remain subject to individual readiness and suitable conditions.
There is a rhythm
to the week
Oslob works because we can make flying the focus. We take care of the structure around it — site briefings, coaching, local coordination and group logistics — so you can settle into the week and concentrate on becoming more comfortable in the air.
Start with Oslob properly.
We begin with a detailed site and operations briefing so everyone understands OCPD, the local environment, how the week works and what we expect from each other.
Brief. Plan. Fly.
We look at the conditions, talk through the day and identify the opportunities that make sense for the group and for individual pilots.
Coaching where it matters.
Cloudbase instructors and our local support network are there to help with site knowledge, safety oversight, radio guidance and practical coaching throughout the flying day.
Take something from every day.
We review what happened, what worked and what you want to change next time — then take that thinking back into the next flight.
Oslob is part of the trip.
Shared meals, scooters, downtime and a small group living and flying together give the week its own character.
Four steps.
Then you’re going to Cebu.

Arrive current.
Leave sharper.
Oslob is a development tour for qualified pilots, not a replacement for initial training. You should arrive able to manage yourself and your equipment safely so we can spend the week refining what you already know and building from there.
Developing pilots are welcome — but in this context, developing means a current PG3 pilot consolidating skills and building experience, rather than learning first principles.
You have solid ground handling skills
You can manage your wing confidently on launch and have the foundation needed to work on more refined technique.
You can launch and land independently
You are already capable of launching and landing safely without first-principles instruction or constant intervention.
You fly your own equipment
You know your glider, harness and associated equipment and can operate it independently.
You can adapt to a new site
You are comfortable arriving somewhere unfamiliar, listening to a detailed site briefing and progressively building your understanding with instructor guidance.
You make responsible decisions
You understand that you remain pilot in command and are prepared to make conservative decisions around your own ability, equipment and the conditions.
You want to develop
You are coming to Oslob for more than simply being shown somewhere to fly. You want repetition, feedback and the chance to become a better pilot.
This is not ab-initio training.
PG2 and ab-initio training are not offered on these tours. You should arrive able to launch and land independently, manage your own equipment, and make sensible decisions in unfamiliar flying environments. Our instructors provide guidance, safety oversight and coaching — they are not there to replace those foundations.
Getting yourself to Oslob
Flying overseas is easier when the important details are organised before you leave Australia. We’ll give booked pilots the current information they need for Cebu and coordinate the parts of the week that work best as a group.
01 Getting to Oslob Arrival timing and transfers.
Plan to arrive with enough time to be settled before the tour begins. We provide booked pilots with current arrival guidance and transport information for reaching Oslob.
02 Accommodation Your home for the week.
We use designated group accommodation so everyone is based together and the daily logistics remain simple. Current hotel, room and pricing options are confirmed during the booking process.
03 Getting around Local freedom during the week.
Scooters are the practical way to move around Oslob and quickly become part of the experience. Scooter hire is coordinated for all participants.
04 Flying equipment Bring the gear you know.
Bring your own suitable glider and harness. A serviceable reserve is mandatory. You need to be familiar with your equipment and capable of operating it independently.
05 Radio + communication Stay connected on the hill.
A suitable UHF radio programmed for the SAFA channels is mandatory. Programming and communication details are provided to pilots before departure.
06 Site fees + local costs What sits outside the tour fee.
Some site access, scooter hire, meals and personal expenses are paid locally. We provide current information before the trip rather than publishing figures that may change.
07 What Cloudbase handles The organisation around your flying.
We coordinate the tour structure, resort booking, OCPD relationship, instructor availability, group communication and local support that allow the week to run properly.
The flying is the reason.
Oslob is the bonus.
Southern Cebu gives the week a character of its own. We fly when it’s on, then there is time for the coastline, scooters, food, conversations and the slower rhythm that comes with living in Oslob for a week.
It is still a flying trip. It just happens to be a very good place to spend the time between flights.
What pilots say about Cloudbase
Experiences from pilots who have trained, travelled and developed their flying with Cloudbase over the years.
