Superlight high-EN-B for XC, hike-and-fly and travel

The SOAR 2 takes the performance-oriented role of AirDesign’s RISE 5 and applies it to a substantially lighter package. It is a 2.5-line EN-B aimed at pilots who want serious cross-country capability but place real value on low equipment weight and compact packing.

Cloudbase perspective

The SOAR 2 should be compared directly with the RISE 5. Both occupy the performance end of AirDesign’s EN-B range; the SOAR 2 earns its place when hike-and-fly, vol-biv, travel or simply carrying less weight is part of the brief. If weight and pack volume are secondary, the conventional RISE 5 deserves consideration. As with any higher-performance B, certification alone should not determine suitability — recent airtime, previous wing and intended flying matter.
