40-litre mountain and day hike-and-fly rucksack

The K40 is a 40-litre mountain pack developed for lightweight day missions where a very small trail pack is no longer enough. It adds more structure and carrying features while keeping the overall system compact.

A watertight internal barrier helps protect the wing from perspiration, while pole or ice-axe attachment, shoulder pockets and side mesh storage make the K40 practical for alpine approaches.

For many lightweight mountain setups, 40 litres is a useful middle ground: still compact enough to move efficiently, but much easier to pack than the smallest race-style bags. As always, confirm the volume against the complete equipment set.
