Compact concertina packing bag

The AirPack 50/50 keeps the leading edge organised cell-to-cell, then folds the wing in half lengthways and again for a compact final package. It can also be used with suitable wings from other manufacturers.

Choosing the size

AirDesign’s guide is to double the AirPack length and compare that figure with the glider’s maximum chord, allowing approximately ±15 cm. Wings with long rods that should not be sharply folded need a full-length packing solution instead.

Cloudbase perspective

The 50/50 is primarily about reducing packed length and volume without abandoning concertina-style leading-edge organisation. Choose it around your wing’s chord and rod construction—not simply the letter printed on the glider size.

Storage note: AirDesign recommends opening the AirPack 50/50 and storing the wing flat for long-term storage rather than leaving it tightly compressed.
