Larger configurations can provide accessible EN-A behaviour, while progressively smaller or more heavily loaded configurations become faster and more demanding. That makes it relevant to everything from lightweight recreational flying and hike-and-fly to experienced-pilot mini-wing use.

Cloudbase perspective

There is no single “SuSi 4 pilot”. A SuSi 4 26 flown in its standard range is a fundamentally different proposition from a 14 or 16 at higher loading. Choosing one therefore starts with all-up flying weight, experience and intended use—not simply selecting the smallest size you fit under. Pilots seeking an even lighter, more expedition-focused version should compare the SuSi XPed.

Construction and features

Double-coated Skytex construction with reinforced seams and nose-guard patches

Colour-coded unsheathed Aramid lines

Shark nose with Nitinol reinforcement

Leading-edge ground attachment loops for steep, slippery or snowy launches

Razor edge with mini-ribs and internal seams

B/C riser control for accelerated flight

Superlight Dyneema risers on sizes 14 and 16 as standard

12 mm Aramid risers on sizes 18, 21, 23 and 26 as standard

Technical specifications and certification

Size

14

16

18

21

23

26

Flat area (m²)

14.09

16.34

18.72

21.16

23.61

25.96

Projected area (m²)

12.18

14.12

16.17

18.28

20.40

22.43

Flat aspect ratio

4.86

4.86

4.86

4.86

4.86

4.86

Standard take-off weight / EN

50–60 / B

50–65 / B

50–72 / A

60–83 / A

72–97 / A

85–110 / A

Extended take-off weight / EN

60–90 / D

65–90 / C

72–90 / B

83–103 / B

97–117 / B

110–125 / B

Take-off weight means total flight mass including pilot, glider, harness, reserve and equipment.
